Period stopping on depo ? Is this normal ? Help.

I just started depo yesterday on my second day of my period , today it's gone ?? is this normal ??? Also my doctor told me it would be 2 weeks until it is effective , does that sound right ..?

I've been on depo for a year now and haven't had my period since before my first shot. Completely normal!

My mum used to have depo injections and it stopes her period completely, I don't think it's that unusual

It takes a week before the depo becomes affective that you can safely have sex. But the hormone release from it is straight away so that could have stopped your period. Everyone's different whilst on it. Don't worry.
