Positive pregnancy tests while on your period?

This is currently happening with me and after doing some research online, it's clear to see that nobody really has any information on this. I don't really have anyone I can talk to about this so I figured I would post on here to hopefully give myself some insight as well as give insight to others.

My story is that I had a dream that I was pregnant and decided to take a pregnancy test despite being on the beginning stages of my period. The test came out negative but after sitting out for a couple of hours a faint positive line began to develop. I have since taken 5 pregnancy tests, two different brands, 3 hCG inexpensive brand and 2 Clear Blue, and I am getting mixed signals and I can't find any answers and I'm not sure what to believe or what's going on with me. Maybe someone out here in this community of lovely ladies can help.

All tests say to discard and results after 10 minutes so I wouldn't read into it too much. Wait till you're off your period and try again.

Test become inaccurate after sitting for the due time. I would wait and retest with morning urine in a few days.

According to most pregnancy test directions you should throw the test away after tens minutes after taking it.. If you are getting positive pregnancy test while on your period, you could have had a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage without even knowing.. Is your AF normal/on time this month?

Letting the pregnancy test sit too long (and a few hours is waaaay too long), can produce a false positive. You're not pregnant.
