Should he get me a birthday present?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 8 months and my birthday is coming up next month but the thing is that on my actual birthday I will be out of the country. Do you guys think that he should get me a present or not? I know presents are not an obligation so this poll is mostly out of curiousity to see other opinions. Thanks!

It's up to him. He can get you a gift or not but most likely if he likes you he will get you a gift
