Popped cherry??

So I've had sex before and I never bled the first time. And I thought that I just wasn't gonna bleed. But my boyfriend was fingering me and eating me out tonight and when he got finished, we noticed blood everywhere. And it's not my period. We thought he cut me but no way so much blood came from that. But is it possible that he "popped my cherry" from that, even though I've already had sex? I know I might sound childish but it was just a confusing moment that I'm trying to wrap my head around. We were able to laugh about it but just trying to understand.
