BF doesnt like septum rings?

I am crazy in love with septum piercings but my boyfriend absolutely hates them! I know many of you will probably say don't do it to please others and don't not get it because your BF doesn't like it and such. We've been together for 5 years, and both of us have many piercings and tattoos but he just really doesn't like the look of septum rings! 
I don't want to get something on my face that he won't like.. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can warm him up to the idea of them possibly? :)

My boyfriend hated them. Then I got one and he loves it on me. 
Boyfriend hated short hair, said it would never look good on me. Did it, he doesn't want it any other way. 
Boyfriend hated stretched ears, said he'd never date a girl with them. I stretched mine, and he stayed and even likes them. 
Maybe my boyfriend REALLY loves me. Or maybe guys don't know what they really like and are too scared to try new things. 
It's a piercing. You can always take it out or hide it.

I got a septum ring, and they all look huge and very bullish on me so I wear an eyebrow bar, sometimes it looks like a bogey but I like it and it's less obvious 💕

But tnen I changed it to a dainty little silver one and now everyone I've spoken to likes it except the one or two bigheaded boys🙄

My BF didn't want me to get one because he didn't like them. I wanted one really badly and I decided to get one. He said nothing because he knew I was going to finally get one whether or not he wanted me to. He came with me when I went to get it done. Like 2 months after I got it done he said it looked sexy.
