Advice please.

My mom's boyfriend, who is like a father to me, hates my boyfriend. However, whenever my boyfriend comes over he doesn't talk to him, he refuses to get to know him and won't let him in our house. My mom has tried to defending my boyfriend and has tried to convince him to be open minded, but he won't. Everyone else loves my boyfriend. I'm sick of my boyfriend and I feeling  unwelcomed. So for the long weekend coming up I have decided to go to my boyfriend's place, 3 hours away from my home. I told my mom and she was indifferent, but I asked her to be the one to tell her boyfriend. I'm afraid I'm putting strain on her and her boyfriends relationship, but I'm so sick of being controlled and treated like I'm 12, I'm almost 19 and in university. They never let me date in high school, I couldn't even look at boys. Am I making the right decision by leaving for the weekend? I need advice or reassurance please..
