how long will my hot flashes last?

I have always been hot natured but back in the spring I had my tubes tide. I began to notice that I was staying hot and at times felt like I was melting from the inside out...so I googled side effects of a tubal and low and behold HOTFLASHES were on the list and after talking with my mother (she's going through menopause) I realized I was suffering from HOTFLASHES. Which leads to my question how long do HOTFLASHES last after a tubal? Or does it vary from one person to the next?
