My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and I have NO idead what to get him. He hates me buying things for him and I literally have no idea why. Our relationship is new but not new enough for me to not spend money on the guy I love.

If he's not a big fan of gifts (I'm not either) you could always plan a day or night out doing something he really enjoys or that you think he might like to try...paintball, rock climbing, a sports game of his favorite team maybe? Good luck lady!

It sounds kind of corny, but I make my gifts for him. He loves it, and I use materials I have on hand, so I didn't spend any extra on him ☺
