Embarrassing..

so my boyfriend and I were having great sex last night & we moved to change positions & I started uncontrollably farting through my vagina, I was absolutely embarrassed! he ignored it but oh my goodness, I could not have felt more humiliated! why did this happen & how can I prevent it?
