What do I do?

So I got with a guy three days ago, he's 16 and I'm 14. His ex girlfriend is insane and is always spreading rumours about him, black mailing him and is not calling him a peadophile. My best friend messaged her and confronted her and she said he was at hers last night. I have no idea what or who to believe anymore. I've just messaged him now but he hasn't read it yet. He told me he hates his ex and wants to move on from her. This isn't fair on me but I don't want to lose him. What do I do??
