I'm 18 and I've been dating this 20 year old for a little over a month now. we spend every Wednesday together because we're both off. my dad goes to work from 10am to  11pm (two jobs back to back). I've always had to sneak around since I moved in with my dad last year because he's so overprotective it's embarrassing...I'm fully Jamaican by the way.. he doesn't realize that I'm 18 or something. so this Wednesday, my dad came home early. my boyfriend and I weren't having sex or anything. in fact I'm sick at the moment so we were napping and watching netflix. I knew my dad was going to come in my room and I panicked I didn't even think about throwing boyfriend out the window 😂. so my dad came in and I tried to hide him for a while but my dad caught on. he told him to get out to or else he's calling the cops...but the reason why I never told by dad about him was because last month my boyfriend got arrested for possession of marijuana and his parents took his car. talk about bad first impressions....through it all my dad kept asking one question, "did you ask my permission". I believe this will get better after this. I was thinking maybe I could set up a day where my dad is here and my boyfriend comes back and we all just talk and get to know each other. this way the air is cleared. how do you guys think I should go about this?
