IKEA Nursery?

My husband and I are big IKEA fans and we're curious if anyone had ever outfitted their nursery with IKEA furniture? Crib, Mattress, Changing Table, Dressers, Storage, etc. I feel like this would be much cheaper than your typical nursery furniture, but I want others opinions first! TIA! 💕

If you do I'd definitely bolt the furniture to the walls. IKEA furniture (in my experience) is much lighter weight than other furniture. Have you seen that video going around of the two year old who pulls the fallen dresser of his twin brother?? Crazy. Ha. Other than that I think it's a fine idea.

Didn't get an IKEA crib but I got the Hensvik Armoire and Changer/Bookshelf. It is fabulous! Not to big for our son's nursery, stores plenty of stuff, costed $200 for both pieces and was EASY to assemble (I did it while I was preggo by myself) BUT be sure to bolt to the wall with the equipment they give with it. The changer was a bit smaller than traditional ones so I used a bassinet pad and it works great. Good luck!

Also love ikea, didn't get  nursery furniture due to this being my third, but we did buy the big sisters a new bunkbeds and they are awesome. *pain in the ass to put together* *but saved over 400 bucks

I bought a dresser from ikea for my daughters room and a few days later found out that it had been recalled due to it falling over easily. A couple of furniture items I bought for my boys gave me trouble too.. your better off buying from some place else.

Yep we got the dresser and crib there since they were specifically recommended by the popular Baby Bargin book! Love them so far. Dresser took a while to put together but it was good "training" for my hubbie ha, and I kinda had fun with it. We thought we could move at a moment's notice so no point to spend $$$.

IKEA is great but check the recalls for their crib mattresses, I've heard a bunch of them got recalled.

I'm so happy to have found this thread! I'm considering an IKEA crib as well. Does anyone have any experience with the Sniglar vs Gulliver crib? Did you use the IKEA mattress or something else??

We got the hensvik crib for our 1st and just bought a second one to complete the nursery for our twins. I have no complaints.
