Would you let your newborn sleep in a laundry basket?

I saw a post about this last night and I was wondering how you guys felt on a later scale. I guess someone in a video let their newborn sleep in a laundry basket at night instead of a crib or bassinet

Laundry basket itself isn't an issue. Depends on what you use for bedding. If you have a mat or something thats not going to bunch up i dont see the issue. If you're placing baby on a pile of blankets, probably not the best idea.

If Finland can make a cardboard box safe for babies to sleep in, why wouldn't a laundry basket be safe?

I mean, Moses baskets honestly seem less safe to me than a laundry basket tbh. People use those for newborns all the tjme

I don't think that's sade, but I'm not sure. I have no evidence to support it is unsafe. If it is full of loose blankets and stuff, then definitely not!

Depending on what kind of laundry basket and whats in it . I dont know why it wouldnt be unsafe  ? Idk never really thought about it
