loosing your virginity

Me and my SO have been talking about having sex for a while but I've been too scared to do any sexual activity. I'm a virgin so I was wondering what happens when you loose your virginity, some say you bleed and it hurts while others say it just feels like and uncomfortable pressure for a quick second then it feels good and I guess it's different for everyone and I also wanted to know about fingering and if that hurt as well, I'm really nervous I'm probably over reacting but I just want to be prepared before I start anything, any advice??
