Induction?¿

Question

For the mommas who went through induction, how was it and how long after going in does it take for baby to actually be born? Getting induced Sunday at midnight 2/26/17 and hoping shell be born by tuesday the 28th and not roll into march seeing as my dads birthday is the 28th. What are the chances? 😕🙆🏽

I went in at night the started the induction the next morning i was in labor 14 hours...that was first baby so I'm not sure but the poticin made the contractions so strong it was rough for me

My induction was only 13 hrs start to finish. I had the foley balloon first (highly recommend it!) then pitocin. Balloon fell out after 4 hrs, then they increased the pitocin slowly (2 miliunits every 30-60 minutes) until my contractions mimicked spontaneous labor. My water broke naturally after having pitocin at 10 miliunits- 10 hrs into induction. Active labor started immediately and I delivered our baby girl 3 hrs later. Went from 6 to 10 cm In a matter of 20 minutes and only pushed for 10 minutes. Didn't have any pain medication.  Not gonna lie, contractions were intense especially at the end they were one on top of one another and no breaks. But before I transitioned and was in active labor I was able to relax so much between the contractions that I actually fell asleep (I took Bradley method classes and had a doula also). I hope my next delivery is spontaneous with out being induced but it went as well as I could have ever hoped!

Lol my first was induced and it took 37 hours from inducing my second took 6 hours from inducing all varies 1st is normally the longest. If you have epidural that slows down contractions so try avoid if you can

I went in at 10am dec 15 3cm 80 thinned started pitocin 10:30/10:45 water was broken at 6:30 7cm and 90 thinned my dr had to thin and dilate me more since she had to put a monitor on my daughters head because my contractions got too strong and the belly monitor couldnt pick up her heartbeat anymore she was born at 7:08pm same day i went all natural no pain meds i used a stress ball to get theough contractions squeezing from the start to the end of the contraction i also listened to music my mil rubbed my feet with lotion my husband mil and bil kept me company but when they broke my water only my husband was there until after birth

I was induced at 39 weeks due to gallstones. I gave birth to a healthy babygirl born 6lbs even 19ins long and extremely healthy. She was due August 6th but we had her July 31st at 3:27am. My labor was induced with Potocin. It was a total of 14 hours long and pushed her out in 35 minutes. I got the epidural at 7cm. I'm a FTM and no tears. The doctors and nurses didn't think I would progress so quickly. Everyone's different :)! I would like to add I was fully aware and awake during the entire thing! Best experience ever!

Started induction at 8 on the 4th of Jan walked round hospital started contracting, went to labour ward at 4.30 they popped the rest of my waters and I went naturally into labour. They had to speed things up tho as they died down at 7 so god put on the drip my daughter was BTB so it was 100000X painful then a normal labour with a baby who isn't BTB so I had a epidural went to sleep at 3 woke up at 4ish at 10cm she was out in 5 minutes no tear nothing xx

First induction they put the cervadil in at 9pm at night and he was born 7:35 the next morning. Second they got the cervadil in at 9:30-10pm at night and she was born at 4:41 am the next morning less than 12 hours each. With my first my water broke at 2:30am and we got to the hospital around 5:30am they started pitocin around 8:30-9 am and he was born 7:30 that night. So around17 hrs for my first but wasn't a scheduled induction.

I was induced at 7:30pm on Tuesday the 21st using cervadil. I was 37+1 and induced due to gestational diabetes and hypertension.

Before the cervadil, I was 1cm and already 80% effaced.

Cervadil was removed early at about 11:30pm; water broke on its own shortly after. I was 3.5cm and having regular contractions that started without any pitocin.

Fully dilated and desperately wanting to push by maybe 1:45 am. Baby was born after 45 minutes of active pushing at 2:45 am on Wednesday the 22nd.

Mine was really fast, and apparently being pretty effaced before induction had a lot to do with that.

My induction only took 6.5 hours and I'm a first time mom!  Only 2 hours of active labor.  But I also suffered from threatened preterm labor starting at 20 weeks and a shortened cervix. So I was 4cm/75%/-2 to start with.
