My boyfriend and I made plans next Saturday to go pick my prom dress and a bowtie for him. I was really looking forward to it, for obvious reasons.

Unfortunately, life got in the way. His family is going down to Ohio that weekend, so he can't come. To make matters worse, we live an hour and a half apart from each other and I only see him on Saturdays, so this also means I won't see him for two weeks.

I'm still torn up about it, even though I know there's nothing we can do about it. He's been trying to cheer me up, but it's not working very well.

On the bright side, my best friend agreed to go with me to pick out a dress, so I don't feel too horrible anymore.
