Have you experienced tattoo shaming?

I recently just got my second tattoo and my mother is a bit on the conservative side. She doesn't know about either of them and I'm actually planning on getting a few more pretty soon. I haven't told her because I'm afraid she may shame me and I'm still very self conscious so I'm afraid of how it will effect me..
Have any of you other inked ladies experienced tattoo shaming? Who was it from and how did you handle it? How did it make you feel?

I have a butterfly outline with a tigers face on my left shoulder that's blue, purple & pink. The tigers eyes are green and yellow. It's my first & only tattoo at the moment. The dude that done it at a tattoo shop is known to have sh*tty tattoos (I didn't know at the time). I was barely 16 when I got it. Hadda have my moms permission to even get it. So my teenage ass was just happy to be getting a tattoo lol. After I got it I wasn't to crazy about the nose of the tiger & everyone that seen it would say "it was so pretty" but then after I told them who done it they would change their story & say "oh, yah he has a heavy hand. I can tell his lines ain't straight" I would point out the nose that I didn't particularly like and they would say "yah, he done a sh*tty job." Its my body, let me have my sh*tty tattoo & let my ass be happy about it lol! It's not on their body! I love it for the simple fact it was my first one & I fought hard to even get it lol. No body is gonna kill my vibe! 😂🦋

I get it everyday lol I have 6! Going on 7 in a couple months it's not even worth it to get all worked up about it anymore I mean if I want something on my body forever then that's my choice I just tend to have resting bitch face where ever I go bc etheir way I'm gonna get dirty looks or someone is gonna have the balls to come up to me and say something. My tattoos define me as a person and I felt that something so important had to be ingraved into my skin so that whenever I look at it I always remember why.

I had a tattoo done on my forearm. It's a teal cancer ribbon for my mom who kicked cancers butt. And this women really tried giving me a hard time about it and shaming me for it.

Alot of people dont like females with tats but I just ignore them. I have a tat that wasnt done very well and I get more shit about that then anything else but I just try to let it roll off me. Its my body and not theirs

I have 12 most are fairly large i get shamed for it all the time. I usually just respond with either ignoring them or telling them its a good thing its on my body not theirs. I also get judged because most of them have very personal meanings to me that i dont want to tell everyone about so i just say i liked it so i got it which people dont seem to like 🤷🏼‍♀️ I personally dont care i love all my tattoos and thats really all that matters

My mom thinks tattoos are revolting and doesn't hold back from reminding me how she feels about them. I choose not to let it bother me because you can't change people and I'd rather have a good relationship with my mom than be hung up over her not liking my tattoos 😂 so I just laugh at her when she makes comments and brush it off.

I have an anti-demon passion tattoo that looks a lot like a pentagram...I love my tattoo. I will walk around in dresses and whatever I want. I do not give a fuck what people think. 
All I tell them is "know your fucking signs you fucking moron you say you're soooooo religious but don't know what this is k. Bye"
