sex while finishing up my thrush treatment?

I was noticing something different down there and my discharge was all different. My mum took me to the doctors and they said that I am most likely to have thrush, which I got from being run down and sick from the pass week (I haven't had sex in over 5 months) they gave me this cream to use for a week each night, it's the fifth night and I'm meeting up with my boyfriend on Sunday and things but get sexual, my public health nurse said I could stop the treatment and do my boyfriend. My friends don't think it's a good idea and have said to wait a few days after the treatment has finished. What should I do??
