Vow Renewal

Hey guys. I have a question about your opinion on vow renewal.

My husband and I have been married for almost three years now. When we got married, my dad was sick and we actually got married in the hospital so he could be there. I've always told my husband that that is okay, because we're just as married now than if we had a huge wedding like I wanted.

My husband and I have been through quite the ups and downs, my husband is FINALLY recovering from alcoholism, getting help for his PTSD/depression/anxiety and things are better than ever. We've decided we want to renew our vows.

Every vow renewal I have seen is done at like 10, 25, 50 years after the initial wedding. Would it be weird if we renewed our vows at our five year anniversary? That's just over two years away, which would give me plenty of time to plan.

Also, I know Renewal ceremonies are normally small and intimate, but I would like this to be a huge celebration, with all our family and friends that weren't able to be at our first wedding. Would it be strange if we did it up like an actual wedding?

Sorry if these are patheticquestions, my sister told me that we should wait until our 10 year anniversary but I really don't see the need to wait, and I want the wedding that I didn't have. Am I making any sense? Haha 😂
