Belly button piercing - rejection????

Hi everyone! I just got my belly buttons pierced last week. I'm a little worried because it's been pretty red lately and it wasn't when I first got it. Does it look like it's rejecting? Any advice will help! Edit: I work in a day care, mainly 3 year olds.

First off they gave you the wrong belly ring, when you get it pierced they are supposed to be longer so you have room to clean it. Thats why you have a red ring around it, theres no room for the swelling to go therefore making it more infected.

Have you been doing sea salt soaks? When I got my belly button pierced I did a sea salt soak for 15 minutes in the morning and at night and it helped the healing

Its not rejecting. The bar is too short and the jewelry is probably cheap.

I agree with the others, the belly ring is too short for you. You need a longer one, with belly rings you should be able to see the bar at the bottom very good but with yours I can’t even see the bar.
It shouldn’t be this red either. Mine got bumps but that was around 5 months in and it was just piercing bumps.

Hello, body piercer here! It’s hard to tell from the photos provided but I’m not convinced you have the proper anatomy for a traditional navel piercing as it doesn’t look like you have enough space for the bottom jewellery to rest comfortably. Depending on how defined your upper ledge is (pending an in person tissue assessment with a reputable piercer) you may be able to get a floating navel piercing but again I can’t tell 100% from these images

Their no room for swelling 😭 babe that jewelry it to short. They sell like plastic one that are long u can look it up on Amazon I think that would be good for u. Not calling u fat but I’m also not a flat tummy girl and with mine I used a long plastic one it healed great plus easy to clean and I didn’t feel so tight in the area.

Looks like they went too deep for that ring, get a longer one and find a different piercer to switch it out (check reviews on yelp or other resources), the original piercer should have known better so I wouldn't go back to them.

They fucked up the ring. Honestly when I got mine I had no problem and was even able to sleep on it the same night. My friends got infected tho all you need to do is keep cleaning with warm water and some soap not fragrance tho

No matter what you do just keep cleaning it. When I got mine done it got so infected I had to get an antibiotic :(...after that it took about a year to completely heal. So just keep cleaning and if it gets worse, see a doctor.
