Infection after D&C

Had a heartbreaking miscarriage and D&C; surgery on 7/14. Recovery was fine until mid last week when I had UTI symptoms. Went to the Dr and was diagnosed with bacterial vaganosis. Put on antibiotics but I can't tell if they are working. My lab results came back negative for any type of urinary or bladder infection. Why do I still feel like I have one then? And on top of that my vagina is sore (sorry tmi). I called the Dr today and they said to finish the antibiotics and call back Thursday if I still feel like this. What would this be? Haven't I been through enough? :-(
