Okay, so I'm a junior in highschool and we just got this new principal and with the new principal, there are new rules too (new dress code). Our principal is banning birkenstocks, slippers/slides, pajama bottoms, shorts/skirts that don't pass our fingertips, strapless shirts, off the shoulder shirts, spaghetti straps, backless shirts, crop tops, and basically anything that shows too much skin. Now, I have good home training and I don't wear shorts that have my ass or boobs spilling out but, I like to wear off the shoulder shirts and crop tops too. Being 5'10 comes with long arms and long legs, so I'm not trying to go to school with awkwardly long shorts. In the email enforcing the new dress code, the principal says something about "protecting our education and students". (SOME) Boys are dogs, but I'm pretty sure they can control themselves around shoulders and a quarter of stomach showing. I really wish that theu wouldn't sexualize our bodies like this. God/Whoever y'all believe in blessed us with this body and we should have no problem wearing whatever we want because we aren't "asking for it" and anything else. I simply want to walk around school looking like a SNACK and that's just me. I don't know but that's the tea on my dumbass school. Thoughts?
