lied to my parents

I went over my friend's house the other day (he's a guy) and I was there with him and another guy. This might seem weird but the three of us have become super close this past summer and are basically best friends. My mom asked me if his parents were home so I lied to her and said they were (over text and in person). I feel super guilty and I honestly feel like this is gonna ruin my life. We wouldn't have done anything differently if his parents were home (we watched a movie and talked about gossip lol) but i still feel so bad for lying. When she picked me up she asked me if I met his parents and whatever so i had to create this big phony lie. I don't want to tell her I lied to her because I know I'll break her trust for a very long time but i also don't know how much longer I can keep this in for. I usually don't lie to my parents and feel super guilty please someone help meeee.
