Should I still have hope?

I've liked a guy for around 3 years (off and on) and I told him the other day. He said he likes me back, but doesn't want to date me bc we couldn't see each other a lot. We go to different schools and his dad doesn't want him to come to mine bc he works in the high school he goes to. Also his parents don't let girls come over to his house for some odd reason. I really like him, but idk if it would work bc he is set on the fact we wouldn't see each other enough to have an actual relationship.
