Is the occasional wine ok while pregnant?

Is the occasional wine or shandy ok while pregnant? Some doctors say yes, experts say no, but what do you think?
**I know we had a recent poll similar to this but the question and description contradicted each other so many ppl gave the wrong answer!

I would never drink any kind of alcohol while pregnant, it’s just not worth the risk. I’ve seen the effects of children whose parents kept drinking and it’s heartbreaking and no joke. I would never put my child through that.

I don’t see why people can’t just wait 9 months to have a drink. Not worth possibly harming the baby.

You shouldn't be drinking anything in the first 38 weeks of pregnancy. Especially in the first trimester when your babies organs are developing. **Some doctors recommend one glass of wine or one beer after 38 weeks to help your body relax for labor. However fetal alcohol syndrome is a big deal and we don't know how much or how little alcohol can cause it. That's why there are certain medications you can't take while pregnant, because a lot of them have alcohol in them.

It’s your choice. I wouldn’t have more than one drink spaced out over the course of like an hour. And not more than one a week. Personally I have not had anything to drink and I don’t intend to until at least the third trimester. Too much important groundwork is being laid in the first trimester.
