My husband and I joked about naming a son that someday.  If only so when he grows up he could say 'all hands on Deck'.  Yes, we pick out creepy pickup lines for our children.

I think it’s really cute! We can’t do any of the cuter -er names (Decker, Thatcher, Sawyer, etc) bc our last name as a hard Er sound. Sigh. I say go for it.

It’s my last name! Everyone calls my husband “Dekk” and I think it’s a pretty cool nickname. I’ve never thought of using it as a first name before, but I love the name Declan. Sort of similar if you’re looking for other ideas as well 💁🏻😊
