Re-occurring UTI’S?!

Okay so I’ve just recently started having sex with my boyfriend and since then I got a UTI that I took antibiotics for and then small, reoccurring symptoms that come and go. We’re both very hygienic and don’t have any STI’S/STD’S. I took the doctors advice and pee before and after sex and we use condoms every time. Sometimes I get random abdomen pain, sometimes I get the usual UTI symptoms (burning when peeing, cloudy urine, itchiness, uncomfortable) and I just drink more water and take vitamins C and cranberry pills and it clears up, but how can I stop it from coming back? Is anyone else going through this?

D mannose the vitamin will change your life. I used to get chronic utis and now I don’t. I take 2 pills a day 😊

YES! I don’t get ANY symptoms with a UTI though so I always have them for such a long period of time that the infection spreads to my kidneys & then I don’t notice that until my kidneys are ACHING horribly! I just try to drink lots of water, drink lots of cranberry juice, pee before & after sex as you mentioned, clean up well down there, make sure I wipe very well when I pee, make sure that I don’t wipe twice where I have already wiped on the toilet paper (ex: folding it over after wiping once), etc. I still get them 😩 I don’t even know how but I get them a lot less now. Instead of 6-8 kidney infections per year, some that almost end me up in the hospital .. I only get 3-5 now. It still sucks but I’m glad I’ve cut it down a lot!  I wish I had more advice for you 😕 but that’s all I have. You mentioned Vitamin C? I’m about getting to try that too! Any thing to keep these stupid  UTI’s that turn into nasty kidney infections so easily for me! I hope you find what works for you! 😊

Literally the same story for me. It is so frustrating and sometimes really killing the mood (we had a good laugh on an article recommending to take cooking classes instead of having sex for two weeks to heal from a UTI the other day though...) I never had UTI's before and now I get one after the other. Whenever I get cold outside i get it. I do suspect I'm allergic to something on the condoms we're using though because I've been having a burning feeling during sex for the last few weeks. (no STDs/STIs, no previous partners for neither of us). Here for support if you want. I hope both of us get rid of it soon.

It can also be that your body is adjusting to this new thing. It happened to me when I first started having sex w my boyfriend too. Got it like 2-3 times.
