39 weeks today, anyone else trying to induce themselves?

I tried castor oil and it didn't work. I was having some cramping but no signs of early labor or anything. I'm a second time mom so I know what it feels like lol I'm just curious what methods everyone is using or if any methods worked for them!

castor oil was the absolute WORST decision you could have made! it works as a laxative for you and your baby. i would honestly go to the doctor in an hour or so to make sure your baby didn't poop in the womb because they can choke on it and it's extremely harmful for the baby.

Yes 39 weeks and dying I keep bouncing on my exercise ball, drinking red raspberry leaf tea, eating spicy food ( getting pineapple any minute now ) eating dates everyday had a membrane sweep at 38+4 and nothing :( I won't try castor oil because I heard it's dangerous and my first was a csection so I don't know what to expect really hoping things get moving soon for the both of us !

Castor oil is only dangerous if taken alone and more than 2 tablespoons was consumed in 24 hours. But if that didn’t do it then nothing probably will. I was almost 3cm on Monday and 70% effaced. I’ve had BH contractions for a few weeks but not consistent enough to time, I’m 39 weeks and 1 day today. I get the BH contractions while I’m sitting, laying down, in the shower, tub, I get em no matter what. I’m a power lifter so I’ve been squatting and deadlifting my whole pregnancy and it doesn’t seem to do much. I’ve done everything under the sun at this point besides the Midwives Brew😅 I get checked again on the 29th so I’m hoping the Evening Primrose Oil tabs have continued to help thin out my cervix. I’ve been taking them for a little over 3 weeks now orally and vaginally. I’ve also been drinking 6 bags of Raspberry Leaf tea a day since 36 weeks. 
Do you know if you’re dilated or effaced at all? Maybe that’s why the castor oil didn’t do anything.

Bouncing on a ball, lunges, squats, sex, walking, playing VERY light basketball (the little jumps to shoot the ball in the hoop will help), stretches, etc. I’m trying any physical activity I can. I started doing that and within a week I dilated an extra 1cm and was 30% more effaced. Then 2 days after my dr told me I was a total of 3cm dilated and 80% effaced with baby super low, I lost my entire mucus plug. That was just at midnight, so waiting to see what more progress I can make!
