Polyamorous relationship

So my BF and I have been fighting a lot lately because he works all the time and such, we love each other but something was missing. We realized that maybe we should involve another man, ass he could fulfill both our needs. This is temporary, but I feel it's what we need. I'm not sure if it's considered polyamorous( idk if I'm spelling it right) because it's not a forever thing, just a few years. Is this a good idea?
