I found out I have a half sister who will be born in June. I 17 so we’ll be a freaky 17 years apart. I really want some resources on this....

I have a half sister who is 12 years older. I love her, she gives me advice and help and support. But the only problem is she is building a life right now and I’m a teen, she can’t always be near me and I miss her a lot. So try to be loving and tell the truth and give advice. And please keep in touch with her and visit her as much as possible. Be there for her.

You're going to have a little sister, whether she's a half sibling, step sibling, blood related, 2 years apart from you, or 17 years apart from you, you should treat her with the same respect and love. She didn't ask to get put into this world, or into this situation, so it's your responsibility to be the big sister and love her. If you don't like the idea of her being your half sibling or being 17 years younger than you, then don't be involved in her life. She doesn't deserve to have a "revolving door" sibling, so to speak.
