How long did your PCOS blood work take?

hi ladies, i’m new to this group as my doctor believes i might have pcos. she took 8 vials of blood last wednesday, and they still don’t have the results back yet. i’m really nervous and just want to know what’s going on so i can try to correct my health the best i can. so my question is, how long did it take for your results to come back? is it normal to take this long?

I’ve had testing done at a few different doctors, they’ve each taken 2-3 weeks. Most don’t analyze the blood in house, they have to send it to labs so that adds time.

Two weeks. I saw my doctor for my annual and did labs that day. Then 2 weeks later I had an ultrasound and saw the doctor immediately after. They did not give me the lab results over the phone or via portal because they have to be reviewed by the doctor before they are released and she did not review it until she also got the ultrasound photos, which was the day of my appointment.

It depends on your doctor. Some doctors offices have a portal online that you can logon to and see all the information before they even call you. If you can do that that’s what I’d do and just go ahead and look up your results online. Google should be able to tell you what the normal ranges are for all the things that they tested
