First time

My boyfriend of two years 18th birthday is coming up and I want him to be my first time I know it would mean the world to him and me as well. We have messed around a lot but have never gone all the way. I’m on birth control and have condoms but I’m really scared about the pain as I have a very low pain tolerance. Any tips for first time would be very helpful as I would love to take this next step in our relationship and brings us closer. TIA
