HOW DO I...

Can somebody tell me how I can get my softie of a husband on board with a little experimenting... the most he does he choke me and that is all great and everything but I want him to take control and let us explore sexually. I don't really want to be too straight forward but at the same time what else could I do without embarrassing myself. I'm already shy as it is and getting him to wrap his hands around my neck took a while.
