Help!!!! Controlling boyfriend??

So my boyfriend went from making me delete social media, to making me not post any pictures online of myself, to controlling what I wear. I got my social media back but he has to have ALL my passwords. He let me post pictures ONLY if I show him first and don't show my body. If a dude he thinks shouldn't be there ( such as someone attractive or a dude from my old school ) they should be deleted. He gets mad if I post ” too much”. We got into many fights, he tells me stuff like ” why you need to look good” ”you need to avoid attracting other dudes attention ” ” why do people need to see you on media” I've never cheated on him but he does have a past with all his ex cheating on him. Should I be understanding for this behavior or is this too much?

That's definitely not ok. No Body has the right to control what you wear and what you post. That's absolutely ridiculous.

this is not okay at all. this is a toxic relationship. he is not your father, he is your boyfriend. a relationship is about trust, and if he’s making you do all these unnecessary things, he does not trust you. you either need to talk to him immediately or leave sus. you deserve better than that.

Honey, hear me when I say this: I’ve been there. And it is NOT okay. He IS being controlling and you know it. If some part of you didn’t, you wouldn’t be looking for confirmation from others.
This kind of behavior isn’t healthy. It’s coming from someone who is insecure with themselves and their relationship and they have a lot of maturing to do and confidence to build which probably has to happen on their own. You cannot fix these issues and you cannot force him to change. Believe me, I tried. I put a lot of faith into someone that I really loved and it only hurt me more.
Whatever you’re telling yourself to justify staying with him through this; save it. Do yourself (and him) a favor and cut ties. Because he will only keep getting worse and you will only start to resent him (if you haven’t already). There is no salvaging a trust that he doesn’t have for himself or you.
I know that it’s hard and you might be crazy about him but love is not all that it takes to make a relationship work. You deserve someone who respects you, your body and your choices. They should want an independent individual that they can love and admire, not control. And if they don’t want that, then you’re not for them. Simple as that.
It hurts and it sucks and it’s shitty but it is NOT your fault. Tell him bye-bye, dear.

It’s too much and unhealthy. That’s not okay and that’s an example of an emotionally abusive relationship. You have your own life and need to be able to make your own decisions and if he can’t learn to trust you then that’s not a healthy relationship. You aren’t his past girlfriend and he shouldn’t be treating you like you are. Things like that tend to get worse as well. You need to be you girl and do things to make yourself feel good.
