I’m proud of myself

Hailee • Cold hands warm heart

Homecoming season is just around the corner, and unlike freshman year where I had panic attacks thinking about not being asked out, I’m completely chill on the fact that I am going to get ready with only ONE friend and then hang out with friends the entire time!!

My mom told me how she had gone from one serious relationship 8-10th grade and then dated my dad from 11th-marriage and how she wishes she would’ve spent some time dating before she met my dad, so instead of being sucked into that wonderful hole called commitment, I am actually going to start to have fun!! (Legal fun, no sex, drugs, or alcohol for me!)

I’m 16 in two months, which I know is super young to even be thinking about relationships (I have a VERY protective grandpa, I’ve heard the term “boys have cooties” a thousand times before, and I’m actually kind of believing it) I’m going to be thinking about myself instead!!

I’m running for sophomore homecoming royalty!! And let me tell you, I am PUMPED!! Nominations are revealed next week and then campaign season follows, I’m praying that I get nominated, I am the QUEEN of campaigning. COOKIES FOR EVERYONE!!

I’m going dress shopping this weekend, and I’ll post a pic of the dress if I find it!!

I’m totally just word vomiting, I’m sorry.

Here’s a gif that totally represents my entire mood:

UPDATE: I GOT THE DRESS!! It is emerald green and has a layer of sequins, the lighting does not do it justice.

I also got a pair of nude heels that I’m wearing in the pic, but I’m not sure about how I feel on those.
