he dumped his ex for me *please read

hey guys i need some help. so ive recently just moved with my family from Norway to Sweden and i’m only in high school i’m in grade 10 so i been at my new school for äbout a month now. so i have a good friend group already but their is this guy that i could tell was attracted to me but someone told me he has a girlfriend so i did not even bother to talk to him but today in German class his friend told me that he dumped his girlfriend for me and now she hates me but i never even spoke to her or tried being with her boyfriend. this is a new school and i do not want someone to hate me when i didn’t try to even talk to her boyfriend. i do not know how to handle this please give me some advice. **sry if my english is bad i don’t really speak it that often**
