Did your baseline antral follicle count have any indication to the amount of eggs you got?

I typically have 16-26 eggs at baseline but I have been reading that doesn’t necessarily mean all eggs will grow or mature

I have not done my egg retrieval yet. But I had 26 follices at my baseline and I have 20 that are on target to hopefully have eggs.

You dont have eggs at a baseline appt. You have follicles. Each follicle may or may not contain an egg. And no not all follicles will grow and be mature during one cycle. For example, i had 30+ follicles. Only 10 grew to the mature size by the time i had my egg retrieval. The others were growing, but at a slower rate. They drain all of your follicles at the egg retrieval regardless of their size, or at least thats what my doctor did. They got 20 eggs from mine, but only 8 eggs were mature.

They told me I had 14 follicles from the scan. When I got out of egg collection, they told me they collected 20! Lots were immature though.

I had 16 follicles at baseline and I was monitored a bunch bc of my high estrogen so I got to track the growth which was interesting. Mine fluctuated a bunch and didn’t grow that evenly. So my dominate follicle got big fast (hogged all the meds) and some small ones stayed little while a few tinies got big. I ended up with 9 retrieved. They sacrificed the crazy big to get a bunch of small ones to grow.
