How many c-sections are safe?

My first born was delivered via c-section and now 7 years later my husband and I are TTC. We’re hoping for 2-4 more kids to add to the family. I’m concerned that having c-sections will limit how many heathy pregnancies/deliveries I can have. 
How many c-sections are considered safe? Is there a limit?

Most providers will tell you no more than 3. If you’re wanting more it’s often better to try for a VBAC with your next delivery.

My OB told me it really depends on each individual person. He said he’s told women no more after their 2nd and has told others go ahead for a 6th! I would check with your doctor to see if they have any blanket policies on it or make the decision based on specific factors for each patient

I’ve had 3. I was told not to have anymore kids because the scar tissue has fused my bladder and uterus together.

I would try for a VBAC if possible! My OB office will perform up to 5, depending on how healing goes after each one.

Well I can tell you this I’ve have 4 and this baby makes my 5th csection. My doctor told me as long as I keep having kids she’ll continue to cut them out. I had minimum scar tissue so that was good.

I've had 4, still hope for baby five, although it's been 7 years. Dr didn't say no, but I believe it's in God's hands.

I heard from one person that her doctor says 8 is the limit. Another friend told me she was told 5. And my doctor says it completely depends on the persons health regarding each pregnancy and the baby. Do regardless, ......allot.
