James as daughters middle name?

My husband and I are on our last child and he never got the boy he always wanted so as a kind gesture to him, I was considering naming our little girl after him with James as her middle name. I think it sounds really cute together however I know the first comment we will get is “that’s a boys name” 🙄  Does the name flow or would you absolutely avoid it?

My husband and I were just talking about this!  James is becoming more popular for girls now.  I kinda like it and I would def do it if I had someone named James to make it after... Def do it!

I really don’t care about middle name flow especially when the middle is an honor name. But wow! Sophia James is just perfect!!!!! Go for it yay!

I've never been a fan of James for a girl. My best friend named her daughter Anna James and I've never cared for it. I do, however, think your reasoning is sweet and I say go for it! 😊

My sister is named after my dad. And her name is Jamie. Growing up I always called her James. Still do sometimes. I think James is cute. It’s your daughter don’t listen to negative people. ❤️
