Giving head

So giving head is not my favorite thing to do, but mostly because my jaw recently has been locking to the point where I can’t even get it into my mouth. Like my mouth will not open enough. It’s really embarrassing and I am about to have a new partner, does anyone have tips on how to avoid this or why this is happening? It started about a year ago and did not happen before this. Thanks!
