I’m scared is this normal?

i started masturbating at a very young age. So young i can’t remember when but i know i was doing it when i was 5. it makes me nervous bc i heard that children being sexual at a young age is a sign of sexual abuse. Is this normal? or does it seem like i might’ve been abused at a young age and just can’t remember? plz help me i’m so scared.

I started at a young age too and I wasn’t sexually abused. I just knew that moving my hips with a blanket in between felt good so I did it

That’s completely normal! Yes, it can sometimes be a sign of sexual abuse, but it’s much more common for it to just be normal & natural child curiosity. At a young age, u typically have no idea that doing that is considered a sexual thing, u just know it feels good. A lot of young children, including toddlers, touch themselves or grind on stuffed animals, pillows, etc. I did it young too & I was never sexually abused.
