If you see litter should you pick it up?
Ok, so I’m only asking because today we were going out in the boat so my daughter and I were waiting in the truck while my husband was getting the boat ready and my daughter saw a fast food coffee cup sitting under a tree and was like “mommy, a coffee cup!” Because she’s 3 and it’s the same brand we drink so I started to explain to her that yes that’s the same type of coffee we drink but the person who left it there shouldn’t have left it under the tree 3 feet away from a perfectly usable garbage can and that’s called littering, etc. but then after I explained this to her I was sitting in the truck thinking I should just go pick up this freaking cup and be a good role model and what not since I just told her it shouldn’t be there, but I’m a germ freak and I was too grossed out to go pick up someone else’s old cup so I left it there and now I’ve felt guilty all day lol 🤦♀️ I would have if I had gloves, but I don’t generally carry those with me lol. So I was just wondering if you see litter should you pick it up? Is it our duty as people on this world to pick up litter that isn’t ours because we obviously all know it’s bad for the environment or no because it’s someone else’s? And yes I know I’m totally over thinking this lol.
