Help! Asap!

So I’m really attracted to this guy and have been for YEARS. He still gives me butterflies, even though we’ve had sex a couple times I still get shy around him. Long story short I took a unplanned 13 month break from sex. Me and the guy met up Monday for a session. Everything was going great, conversation was great, I felt at ease, foreplay/ kissing/ oral was amazing but when it came to actual penetration I couldn’t stay wet and I was in pain.. we had to stop multiple times and towards the end he hopped up still hard and began to dress... I don’t think he came... he threw away the condom and we hugged for awhile.. he left. I feel horrible as if I didn’t satisfy him or something was wrong. Thoughts/ advice/ next steps?? Thanks!
