Only 3 embryos... success stories?

Question

I just finished my first 
IVF
 cycle. I was disappointed to find out I only had 6 follicles. We ended up with 7 eggs. Only 5 were mature. 4 fertilized normally and 1 has been frozen on day 5. 2 are still developing and 1 stopped growing. I’m still waiting to hear whether those 2 made it or not. I know it only takes one but it still feels like such a loss. I really don’t want to go through this process again. Of course, I would if it came to that but it’s so hard on your body and spirit. 
Anyone have success stories of 3 or fewer embryos?
Update: three made it and have been biopsied and frozen. The last one started developing again so they’ll give it one more day to catch up. 🥶🥶🥶😶🙌🏻🙏🏻✨ thank you all for your stories of hope! I appreciate it so much!

I had 19 eggs retrieved and only two fertilized! Only one made it to day 5. We did a fresh transfer and it worked! Still very early in the pregnancy but I’m super grateful!

I have 3 normal graded embryos and one mosaic in the freezer. They transferred one of the embryos on 10/1 and I’m currently pregnant. Hang in there it’s quality over quantity!

I had 20 eggs, only 8 were mature, all 8 fertilized, but only 2 made it to day 5 freeze. We transferred 1 of the frozen embryos during my next cycle and I am currently 38 weeks and 4 days. Due any day now. It really does only take one. And we still have one more frozen. Stay positive! It will happen!

My numbers were pretty much identical to yours. 7 retrieved. Only one made it to blast/freeze. I was heart broken and so disappointed. 
And now? Now I’m pregnant with that one embryo! 5 weeks and blood tests are showing perfect numbers! I didn’t trust people when they told me a few weeks ago, but it really does only take one! Good luck!

I have 1 ovary and got 7 eggs, 6 fertilized, 4 made it to freeze and PGS testing and only 1 normal of the 4 and she is a baby girl. Awaiting transfer now. Plan to transfer in December. I can empathize with you. It is scary knowing we only have 1 embryo but are 100% confident our transfer will work. We have decided this is the only cycle we will attempt and that is simply due to the cost. Keep your head up and positive thoughts all the way. Best of luck!

I am 44 and I only had one 3 day frozen embryo. I will take the blood test in 4 days. Fingers crossed!

We had almost identical numbers - 7 eggs, 5 mature, all fertilized and 4 made it thru to blast. 2 of thoseneeded an extra day to develop. We transferred 1 fresh embryo and froze 3 and I'm now 10 weeks pregnant. It really is all about quality 😀. 3 or 4 blasts out of 5 mature eggs is a great success rate. I was also quite disappointed with how many follicles started firing -as they had doubled my dose of stims on this round (we had to abandon the 1st round of IVF as my ovaries barely responded). BUT- it really does just take one. Fingers crossed for a BFP for you and a sticky bean.

With my first ivf,  i had 2 embryos at 3 day. I had a 3 day fresh transfer that was successful.  Unfortunately, i lost her due to having a ic. Have hope, it is possible.

Whatever happened? Were any of your three embryos normal? Was your frozen transfer successful? I’m in the same boat as you right now...1) 5 day and 2) 6 day blasts...waiting to see if any of my three are normal they said about 2 weeks for results ✨🤞

I have 6 biopsied and frozen imstill waiting for the pgs testing but I’m so scared as well but me and my husband said if this some how fails we will do another round of Ivf I’d be so sad to do it again but if I really had to I would do it in a heartbeat I’m trying to leave it to god but I’m so nervous waiting for how many of our 6 is normal I hope 1/2. I will be really sad if none or only 1 is normal.
