Is the name maverick too popular?

My husband and I have had the boy name Maverick picked out for a while now, but it seems like all of a sudden (maybe just because I’m looking) it’s really popular. It was ranked 73rd in 2018. We just can’t find a name that we like as much, but I don’t know if I’m okay giving him a super popular name. Thoughts?

Maverick is super popular right now in the States. I would stay away because I feel like it's going to be every other boy in KG in 5 years time lol

My sons name is Maverick and it’s absolutely blowing up now it’s crazy. Also with the new Top Gun: Maverick movie I feel it’s just going to get even bigger unfortunately
