Sex lately has been really uncomfortable for me both because of some physical pain and emotional stress associated with sex. I experience a discomfort the whole time but there are moments during sex where if he goes deeper in me I’ll get an intense pain that radiates into my lower abdomen. I’ll yelp, that’s how much it shocks me. Is this normal to experience?? It seems like the most pain comes when it’s a deeper penetration. I’ve gone to a gynecologist this past summer and was told everything appeared normal, as I was concerned that maybe I had a cyst or something.

I’ve also recently heard about vaginismus which sounds like i could possibly be experiencing that. I have issues with seeing gynecologists and feel my self tense up when I have an examination. I remember I also had a really difficult time first trying a tampon all those years ago lol I remember i struggled to shove the tampon in for so long and when I finally did I was hyperventilating, crying, and dizzy. Does this sound like vaginismus and could this be connected to my pain during sex?
