I’m rewatching friends. So who was right Ross or Rachel?

Were they on a break? Did Rachel have a right to be upset and end it? I’m watching the break up episode right now and I’m kind of siding with Rachel but last time I watched I was on team Ross. Hahah who was right in your opinion?

I side with Rachel. Ross was overwhelmingly clingy & controlling towards her & the minute he saw she was happy doing the career she loved he got jealous & tried to sabotage it. 
She wanted a break because he was a fucking nuisance. She realized that she wanted to give it another chance literally the next day, not even a few hours later... & he had already slept with someone else, further proving that he was always an insecure toxic boyfriend. 
I’m honestly still mad that she chose him over Paris... fucking Paris.

They weren’t together so technically I would have to side with Ross. Rachel had been pushing him away for quite some time before she actually called things off so when she finally did & he chose to go out & cope in that way that doesn’t make him a bad guy. Her feelings were valid because it was like yeah he moved really quick getting in bed with someone else but technically speaking he didn’t do her wrong. I think what was wrong was him not telling her the moment he got the chance to. 🤷🏽‍♀️

They were on a break but if you loved someone that much then you wouldn’t immediately jump in bed with someone else a few hours after a break up. So he didn’t cheat but he was wrong because kinda feels like he didn’t care about her that much to do that.

They both were. Ross was pushy and annoying, and they WERE on a break so he didnt cheat on Rachel. Rachel was pushing him away and wanting him to be her boyfriend when it was convenient for her, but shouldnt have said they were on a break if she wasnt prepared for any adverse consequences. Regardless the whole thing was a big mess. 
But, Ross kisses Rachel when he is with Julie.
Rachel kisses Ross when he is with Bonnie.
Neither of them seem to have much sense when it comes to full loyalty in relationships.

I don't thi k Ross cheated because she said maybe we should take a brake so to me that means they were broken up... Although I don't like the way Ross was he was way to jelly he needed to trust her and know that she was nothing like his wife.... That's just what i think

He had the right to sleep with someone else but she had the right to be upset. If I broke up with my current boyfriend and his first response, the same night, was to screw someone else, I would have no reason to believe what we had meant anything to him. Rachel put up with a lot of crap from Ross- and beyond all his insecurity and worry she would cheat when she was always loyal,  he was still the one to sleep with someone else right away. Even if you break up, if any part of you still wants that person, you should wait a little bit at least and try to get them back, not hop in the next pair of legs to spread. 🙄
WOO I sound bitter but it’s because I’ve been where Rachel was and I did nottt ever resume dating. And tbh she shouldn’t have either.
