Is it worth it to get the Spectra S1 and buy the extra stuff?

Question

So I just got my breast pump prescription today, I’ve been researching pumps for a while now and was pretty sure about getting the S1. Everywhere I look it says it’s the superior one, but it doesn’t come with everything that a lot of the other ones do. I was wondering if any other mommas out there had an issue with that, I will definitely have to pump away from home when I go back to work so I need a carrying case and cooler and all that. Is it worth it to get the S1 and buy the extra stuff? Or should I consider the ameda, lansinoh, or medela?

Definitely still worth it!! I just toss my pump in a bag I had (which happened to be this Thirty-One bag below) but you can use any sort of bag you want. For my milk I usually just throw it  in a lunch box , or some days my coat pockets 😂

The Spectra has that built-in handle across the top so it feels way more portable than the other pumps do.

I have never missed any of the "extras" and I would rather carry a cute bag than the provided one. When I got my pump last year there was an option to upgrade and pay a little more to get all the extras if I wanted if that is something you are interested in.

Tons of compatible options on amazon! I had the same thoughts but I think I’m still going to go with the S1. There are cheaper options on there for tote bags as well as some nicer, higher end pump bags.

I was looking at buying the S1 but in the end I went with the Ameda Mya and absolutely love it!! It’s super portable and will fit in almost any bag, I can pump all day with it without needing to plug in so I can go sit in my car or just a back room if I want to. I just bought all the accessories off amazon for cheap. I wanted a pump with like a “package deal” but in the end It was nice to be able to get what I actually wanted and what would work for me rather than what was supplied to me
