Mixed relationship

So I’m latina and Ive been dating this white guy for a few weeks now and it’s been going so well and he’s the sweetest guy ever, but it’s so hard to connect with him sometimes. I try to explain but he just doesn’t get it cause he’ll never know what it’s like to be Mexican and experience bigotry and sometimes I think he gets frustrated with me because I’m so politically charged and get so passionate so quickly when someone insults another person for the color of their skin or something else they can’t help. I don’t know what I should do, just never talk to him about that stuff or talk about it to him and accidentally push him away?
