Is latex sensitivity a thing?

I know a latex allergy is a thing, but it’s super rare and I don’t know any of the symptoms, but whenever we use latex condoms during sex it sometimes causes burning and itchiness. Whenever we use other materials like the Skyn condoms these issues never happen. I’ve thought that maybe it was just not enough lube, but even that didn’t help. So is a sensitivity a thing or has anyone else experienced anything similar? It also only happens during sex with latex condoms, I never have these issues before sex so I don’t think it’s an infection or anything.
